edit: also the RTX 2070 has more memory bandwidth from GDDR6 , if the use case requires memory bandwidth it might have a larger advantage
you forgot DLSS

It's going to be intriguing to read the justification of buying this card.
Things are going to get very creative.

It's also advertised for deep learning due to tensor cores.

Wow, magical! Called this over 3 months ago now. 2080 DOA, 2070 DOA.

This has been one of the most boring GPU launches I've ever seen. I normally find myself reading every single review and looking through all the owner threads to see user OC's and such, but as with pascal, and on top of the terrible pricing, you've seen one you've seen them all.

yeah. long gone are the days of improving performance w/ghetto rigging shenanigans with items you'd find in the junk drawer.

now its all super uber soldering skills and LN2 pots.

Have you seen what DLSS does? So far it's a pointless feature.

You could still get some thermal pads, chunks of metal, zip ties and maybe a case fan and add some backplate cooling
Maybe some wrapper like sweetfx will find a way to use all of those transistors just sitting around. Might be better than what they are using them for. They have lots of potential.

i don't see any of that right now, but i do have a door hinge (w/no pin) and 1/4 tube of super glue.

Exactly what the majority of us thought...I hope people aren't buying this for any other reason besides Ray Tracing/DLSS.

I liked ghetto rigging shenanigans with items found in junk.
