Then you need to stop posting and go look up how big of a deal chiplets are. 6c/12t for the lowest end Ryzen part is easily doable now. Chiplets that are so defective that only 4c are functional will likely be used for the budget Athlon lineup, or possibly on the 8c/16t Ryzen SKUs in a 2 chiplet layout.

Oh im not debating that, im saying the entry level ryzen part will not have SMT. I posted two pages back that was the first thing that stood out to me, every single chip on that list has SMT.

Also when talking about turbo speed im obviously talking about single core turbo (as that is how they are all rated). You conveniently skipped two CPU's in your 6700k to 8086k comparison, and that barely manages to reach the gap this leak is claiming AMD has done in one.

Its bogus, and im sure of it.
I'm using logic, and you're ignoring the facts of how Zen actually works, but ok... and I didn't skip anything... an i7 7700k was the 6700k with a DRM feature in it, and the i7 6700k, 7700k, and 8700k, are the same architecture, socket and process as the i7 8086k. Literally nothing changed between them except the software walls that Intel put up to segment the motherboard market.

Down to pricing? Nice cop-out. The price is most likely to change, considering the launch is probably at least 3 months out. It already changed compared to a previous reddit leak, so... Yeah.

But... Are you implying that these leaks are actually reasonable, except the pricing? Because your attitude was completely different just a few posts earlier.

You are now simply trolling, a 2700x is just a 1800x too i suppose?

Is it confirmed? No. But if two independent sources basically agree on the information, and Kyle from HOCP says it's mostly correct with some minor inaccuracies, what reason do we have to think this is completely bogus?

The main inaccuracy I can think of is the pricing. And maybe, some of the 8c/16t CPUs are actually two 4c/8t chips, rather than one 8c/16t chiplet with a dummy chiplet like Jim from AdoredTV mentioned.
Every. Until it's not bogus. As the "troubling trend" article reveals, leaks should be questioned, researched further, and, not least of all, upheld/defended simply for the wishful anguishing triumphant comeback of everyone's favorite underdog.

Yeah my 2500k is basically half a 9900k. Heck, it's all the same at the core

No, it's not. It's a different process, supports higher clocked memory, has different cache configurations, and also has lower latency between each CCX.

At any rate, this is getting off topic. I'm done lol

You sure highlight what is convenient to your views. But whatever... To what you say here I answer; Even if the last couple of leaks of this specific source have all been solid? Even if we have a whole line-up with cores, threads, pricing, and naming, rather than one invented CPU leak like your reference article?

And I'll add this to the mix... Go back to 2015- 2016 and say that AMD will come up with an 8C/16T mainstream CPU for around $300. How many believed it? How many said it was too good to be true? And yet, that is what happened.

I understand the argument for skepticism regarding leaks. But I also understand dismissive attitudes and denial.

I am not defending the leaks as such, but there is nothing unreasonable about them.
