AMD has probably seen an opportunity to push these out as higher-end performance offerings, as from all accounts, the rumours suggest that Navi's initial release will be low-mid range offerings, and Nvidia has given them this great opportunity to release something that will be gobbled up by people itching to upgrade, who aren't impressed with the pricing of the 2000 series cards.

There is a product gap to be filled until high-end Navi drops in Q4 2019 (rumoured).

Forever a WIP.

Most like whenever Navi first launches + 1 year for the high end one.

Six new GFX9(Vega 10) IDs were reported in AMD's linux driver. I have a feeling we may get another Vega 10 at 12nm with an undervolt and core boost clock.

https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pa...-10-20-PCI-IDs

Quote:
On the Vega 10 front meanwhile they are adding six new PCI IDs... The new Vega 10 PCI IDs being added are 0x6869, 0x686A, 0x686B, 0x686D, 0x686E, and 0x686F. These Vega 10 PCI IDs are new and not part of the previous batch of Vega 10 parts supported by the Linux drivers. The only other references I could find to these PCI IDs were that a macOS Mojave update recently added in these IDs too and then some of these IDs having just been part of GPUOpen's listings of GFX9 parts.

Have their been any rumors about a dual chip card? I want to be excited about Vega 2, but I don't want to inadvertently get excited for a dual chip card.

Dual chip cards for gaming are dead. They released a dual Polaris and dual Vega card already for professional use.

The Radeon Pro Duo and Pro V340

Could this logo represent stacked GPU's? Like 3D-stacked DRAM?

You can't cool stacked GPU chips. 200W would turn into 400 W, and the heat would have to go trough the stacked chip.

I mean You clearly can see 2 solutions for stacking chip in the image above can You?

Regardles VII is also a Roman digit. It can mean a stacked 7nm chips
with ZEN2 and VEGA 7nm. Something like a mainstream APU like in PS4/XBOX. AMD already spend a lot of their R&D on PS5 and next Xbox. Also there are already high performance PC APUs used in Chinese Subor Z console, and Subor gaming Windows PC.

This can be their ticked fot the OEM space.

Hopefully they at least do a refresh of vega 56/64, and not another rx480 refresh, and price them better. Up here, they are more expensive than cards that beat them.
