Fellow WP user here. I'm still on a Lumia Icon (aka Verizon's 929). It seems just about every WP user I've ever met has had that same impression about interfaces. The only people who seem to hate on WP are people who never tried it in earnest or those with special use cases not well served without specific third party applications.

I loved my Windows phone and gave it up grudgingly because of the latter issue (need for specific third-party app support). I found the iPhone to be a smooth(er) transition than I did Android, though I've since gone back to an Android phone because of Apple's move towards an even tighter and more premium range (with the attendant premium pricing). The WP interface is still my absolute favourite and should've had more influence on phone UI/UX than it did.

I have been a long time watcher of YouTube and I even watch the stupid videos from time to time (who hasn't been sucked into a fail video binge session). The useful content not what made YouTube big though, it's what made YouTube useful. Pointless content (video game channels, makeup channels, vlogs, etc..) is what made YouTube what it is today.

I am glad that YouTube still manages to deliver some educational content even though it exists in a world where The History Channel, The Learning Channel and Discovery Channel offer nothing but reality shows with no education content.

That being said, screw Edge and Chrome. Firefox for life, peace out.

I can't believe someone in enterprise software is welcoming google's IE6. It must be great to be so naive to believe edge was the problem and not the garbage software.

Hey, as long as it functions pretty much the same as chrome, that's good with me. Unfortunately I can't control which web apps we use for a few more years due to long standing pre-existing contracts, so this would be a step in the right direction for us : )

Works with playlists too IIRC, you can also use VLC to rip it to your PC. <3VLC

Both sides do it. Try watching MSNBC on Chrome. It never works but works like a charm in Edge.

VLC still refuses to load any resolution other than 360p for me, even when setting the preferred input resolution to 1080p.

I think It worked way back on on older build but I haven't gotten it to work properly for ages.

If you look back as to why when a member of MS team said we should scrap the browser and start from scratch the MS Gods said no take it and just patch it... You know the rest I hope. He quit and started his own browser,...

MS has history has shown this practice in all manners from DOS to current. Sure patching is required but with in reason. Must be from the early days that someone took the software and made it theirs. No wonder its corrupt and can't every be fixed.
Before long MS will embed some code that will allow them to block or kill you OS for talking bad about them etc. Won't that be a proud day.
