So the 4-4.0 lanes from the chipset are like the chipset lanes Intel has for their NVME connections?

With 4-4.0 lanes on the chipset and one of the +4's from the cpu, we should have motherboards with options for at least 3 NVME drives, right?

It looks like x570 is going to check my boxes if the support for up to DDR4-4000 thing is true.

How did I miss that?

Nevermind, I just realized that was a different link than the one I clicked earlier.

I guess it depends on how good the PCH is this time around.

Going from pcie 2.0 to pcie 4.0 should mean the PCH is better then last time.

Buildzoid mentions in today's video that certain storage configurations cause the X570 chipset to pull a lot more power, enough that you need a fan.

CrosshairVIII. Can't wait.

I calculated the odds of this succeeding versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid... and I went ahead anyway.

If it's not coming out for the PC, it's dead to me.

I read that as:

1 x M.2 from the CPU
2 x M.2 from PCI-E 4 , using 4 channels, essentially both running at 4x PCI-E 3.0
SATA from PCH

Since where was rainbow colours a thing. If used correctly, to set everything to a theme (Not a rainbow theme, that just a mess of colours), it's great.
Would be awesome to not be software bound. Even have a tab in the BIOS to control it there. Why do we have to install bloatware in the OS for something that is changed once every blue moon.
My X470 Taichi has RGB bios control, hopefully more will follow.

Not sure if we can rely on him any more about these things. His info about the vrms on the X470/B450 motherboard were not so accurate. A pinch of salt may not be bad for our health.

Well I have already seen picture of x570 boards with an active fan on the PCH, maybe they were just feeling retro with the design and it doesn't need it...

Spoiler!
