enigma pointed out what i was thinking.

So the Taichi is the first known X570 using T Topology for the RAM?
Everyone else appears to be using Daisy Chain.

Therefore it's NOT ideal for Dual dim Ram sets, but rather for Quad dim sets (4x4GB, 4x8GB, 4x16GB, 4x32GB).
You might struggle slightly more on OC's of dual dim sets.

Otherwise, he says its a decent mid-tier board with decent power delivery for anything under 200W (basically anything 12 core and under)

* 200A. At spec of 1.2v, that is 240 watts. Very good for anything below that, acceptable for anything up to 360 watts.

We will most likely be using somewhere around 1.3-1.4v though as usual for AMD. So 200A draw at that voltage is still going to be under the acceptable limit. Probably be ok for a 16 core, but we will have to see what the power consumption is on that when we actually OC it. I seriously doubt it will be up in the 350W+ range though...

I'm thinking it might be the better option for me since I only want the 8 core (unless I'm blown away by something) and I plan to fill up them slots.

Nice

I have a big bang house. I had all the materials for my new house brought in and dumped on a vacant lot. I took a stick of dynamite, lit the fuse on fire and tossed it into the pile of materials. BOOM went the explosion and when the dust settled I had a new house! Amazing isn't it?
