Also Q3 for Zen2. I thought it was Q2 for Zen.

I am starting to have a bad feeling about this
Radeon 7 is high-end as depicted in price, not saying anything about performance above upcoming Navi. R7 costing $699 is considered high end while 3080 (using that name for now) only 10% slower could be consider mainstream cos the price of the card is targeted at mainstream market ($330)

As long as the quantity is healthy and the price is mainstream level, it can be considered as a mainstream product.

Navi 20 is the real gun they will be holding, and it will be the final and best GCN that AMD will ever rolled out, before being superseded by a new micro-architecture Arcturus.

That is indeed true, but do we expect a card from AMD that is slightly slower than the Radeon VII for half the price?

I have my doubts but it would be awesome. If everything else fails I hope for an RTX 2070 Ti !

Arcturus is not an architecture, but a chip. It's unknown which chip it is. Rumors suggest it's what's coming in the next Xbox.

It'll be interesting to see 3rd party coolers. I know Vega VII was restricted to AMD only and keep costs to msrp (some are even lower currently). RTX has some nice 3 slot beasts. I would love to see the same offerings for Navi minus the exorbitant price ofc.

Sept still falls under 3rd quarter, but I don't think AMD will hold off release that long. It'll kill the hype train. Choo Choo!

I do not even know why some keep saying Arcturus is a new architecture.

If you take Navi and add HW based Ray Tracing it would be considered new architecture but at the same time not really. Same goes for Nvidia. Maxwell > Pascal > Turing. Very similar baseline.

Arcturus is Next Gen which indicates a new architecture. Just like Ocean Cove is Next Gen on Intel's roadmap.

Arcturus is a chip, not architecture, and the name is from this post:

EDIT - just to be clear, these code names are per CHIP not per GENERATION and are what we will use when pushing open source code to public repos.

I am aware just like Navi and Vega. Arcturus is rumored to be the first chip using the next gen architecture.
