"that also goes for the person you responded to.. there's no need to be vitriolic just cause a guy had some inaccurate leaks on the internet.. it's such an innocuous event and the reaction seems ridiculous." was definitely meant to be about him and not you.
Basically I saw your post, and it was like the 10th post i've read tonight still talking about it and it prompted a poorly fleshed out general response to my annoyance at the whole state of the thing, people still fighting over this like it matters and people generally being ****ty about it. Frankly It all probably should have been a response directly to the other guy.

Anyway all that aside, it seems like for everyday users.. 4.7 is probably actually the end of the road at least if we go off of past zen CPUs. At this point there's not really any reason to believe the frequency wall has actually been overcome, I think people are going to be disappointed if they expect any real OC headroom from these chips. But I would be shocked if any of them don't at least manage 4.6 all core OCs
might be right..was a slide that showed extra overclock and the 3600 gained most in cinebench while 3800x only gain 3 points in single thread.

Almost half the ppl here in OCN didnt believe 16C32T will come to AM4 due to Dual channel memory and claim we were delusion about 16C coming to mainstream platform.

Now these people who make so much noise back then were complete silent now. I wonder where are they.

I think the CPUs announced are not the only ones coming. I have no basis for what I am saying other than the 1000/2000 series ryzen releases had X SKUs and Non-X SKUs. I am probably wrong, but I can hope.

Lets wait and see how dual-channel memory performs at that core count before we go gloating too much, maybe

I get that we are in the rumors section, but if that quoted image from wccftech is meant to be believed then I really think we are in interesting times. I have read the thread twice and just to confirm: we have no release date available, but given the move to B0 stepping we can believe that the chips are nearing retail form right?

That 16/32...perhaps under water. I want.

So Looks like the 4600Mhz is the new Max Clock vs 4300Mhz on 12nm, and the 4700Mhz on 3950X is the max clock for binned silicon - like the 4400Mhz on top 5% silicons that are used on Threadripper 2950X.
Not bad actually if we take the IPC improvement + High memory clock + Windows fixes.

So if the 4600Mhz is the max Wall, then 4300~4500 should be possible all core OC- depends on silicon lottery.
What do you think?

P/S; to me it looks like AMD Aims Gaming performance with it's new PBO + Win10 fixes, this was the last advantage that Intel had over them with 8700K/9600K/9700K/9900K, so if all true then there are no many reasons to recommend Intel based PC's to Gamers/HEDT users.
