on a side note; since they bumped up the 2070 to the 104 chip (should have been all along imo), nv could enable NVlink on those now.

yeah mgpu sucks for gaming.

bejesus, all this sucks . . . who am i kidding.

Remember the golden rule of statistics: A personal sample size of one is a sufficient basis upon which to draw universal conclusions.
Upload the computer to Dropbox and provide a link to it so others may download it to examine and give advice for repairs.

Someone pointed out to me that if you mined on a RTX card for the 9 months it took AMD to put out a GPU on par with RTX cards you would have had enough to buy 2x RTX cards...
I checked and this may be true

So, a cool $100 for 10% boost? Nice./s

Depending on the advancements, it may be five years or more... Developers will adopt it quickly *crosses fingers* but performance is the most important metric here.

LOL. This is what happens when AMD's offerings come out at the same price of existing Nvidia hardware, is a year late, and uses more power (less efficient). If AMD cut Navi costs FAST, maybe Nvidia will follow...
yep, about 17 hours on average per frame in Cars. The first movie to make use of the tech

I'd be willing to bet that increased fidelity has kept that number pretty high even 15 years later.

Is there an option to choose a time frame there that I missed? If not it wouldn't be valid to use current rates for that 9 month span. That period of time was a lull for crypto. The price now is due to the Libra surge.

The 2080 Super is probably not even 10% faster than the normal 2080 unless Nvidia ups the power limit and clocks a bit.

It is only like 4% more cuda cores than the normal 2080.

The 2070 and 2060 will make a bigger jump though.

Out of the new SUPER cards the 2080 Super seems like the big big loser.

the super line will launch @ slightly more than the card they're one upping... duh.
slightly in NV land will be from $100 on the lows, and $300+ on the highs.

If Super replaces the 2000 stack at *higher* price points, we'll have solid confirmation of how incredibly out of touch Nvidia has become.

the prices will be up until the existing stock of like models dwindles, then it'll fall into the same spot. While 2060 and 2060 exist at the same time. I fully expect 2060Super to be close in price to 2060 original MSRP.
