With a cooler design like that (and I really hope this isn't another case of fan art gone viral like the last time), then it's definitely not a GT 1030 competitor like we've imagined a year or two ago If it's competitive, I hope it's RGB-lit. Lighting options should be plenty, especially if everyone's moving to AMD-red for gaming CPU's in the near future
Before long...This is all going to turn into:
-PC Builds with Only Intel with certain Intel advantages
-PC Builds with Only AMD with certain AMD advantages
This type of PC ecosystems might be competing with each other before long.
Intel will mess that up. They will make the benefits dependent on having hardware newer than an arbitrary generation and will milk the advancements (looking at you optane, pcie lanes, chipset lanes, #of cores, #of ram channels, amount of cache, arch advancements, etc).
Which really bothers me because if they dumped a lot of fpga tech into a desktop gpu it could be nuts. They will probably just do enough and charge market rates. AMD will still charge market rates. I hope Nvidia keeps up the torrid rate of performance advancement and doesn't decide to save it for later.
