agreed, and intel will "give them away" to get them in circulation.

bring the heat wherever you can, intel. AMD n NV are like two step children from different sets of parents being told they need to babysit each other.

If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.
Best R0ach Quote of all time : TLDR: Haswell might be the last legit gaming platform unless mice get their own non-USB interface on some newer architecture.

980 Ti performance in late 2020 for $200 would be perfect? Only in a world where the GPU landscape is just as bad or even worse than it is now.

You can buy a GTX 1660 Ti right now for ~$270. That's GTX 980 Ti performance.

Maybe you meant 1080 Ti performance for $200?

I don't think so. You'll have to explain yourself better.

What Nvidia gonna do to not loose it's market share on mobile? since Intel will push them hard with their new iGPU and dGPU while AMD will do the same with N7/N7+, how big is the market share above RTX2060 on mobile? [IMO they can keep the high end but loose the mid/low end to Intel and AMD]

I feel a bit sorry for you guys. It's almost like you've forgotten who we're talking about here. This is Chipzilla. They don't lower prices. They don't compete with price. They compete with their market position. Expect them to release their products at the same or higher prices then AMD/NVidia for the same performance, then expect them to leverage their CPU position to force/encourage/incentivise the OEM PC manufacturer partners to start using their gpu products exclusively.

While all this is happening expect the community to lament that their driver environment is worse then AMDs, regardless what their cards perform like in synthetic benches, they still perform like ass in games.

This is what you guys are all waiting for from Chipzilla in the discrete graphics arena.

Have you tried mobile Nvidia lately? They have a really polished setup going. My laptop's 1050ti runs as invisibly as an igpu. The thing autoswitches to the igpu during low load. Of course this is because I left that default option as is. I could have set the thing to use just one or the other. The stability is absolute, the configurations are well tuned for usability. It will be a bit before AMD can win on anything but frames per $ in this market and Intel driver's will probably take a bit before they are as stable and suited for mobile limitations.
Nvidia has another gen at least before they have to worry about laptop competitors for the not diy crowd.

Yes I know. got 8250U+MX150, the thing is that it's Intel, and when they gonna have their GPU's ready they will start to push them to OEM's with CPU+GPU combo IMO, so even if the NV+Intel solution could give better experience- OEM's may choose differently.

OEM's will likely be persuaded by Intel to run Intel's discrete solutions over Nvidia's while running Intel CPU's. OEM's will have the option to run AMD CPU's, but will likely face the same situation where AMD will influence them to run AMD discrete solutions as well. This will likely push Nvidia out of low end OEM machines, unless they partner with ARM or something. It's not favorable for Nvidia and it'll be interesting to see where they go b/c of it.

Nvidia has long-term mindshare leads that aren't going to withered away so easily, combined with all of the corporate hubris in the world. They'll be fine and continue to dominate mobile and OEM.
