why not 2080S? Its the fastest 4k card @ dat price bracket, also RT bla, bla, bla.

There is no way AMD is going to release a Larger Navi now and then next year a 2080 Ti killer. Way too many skus for AMD.

Best case rumor: 5800 vs 2080S, 5800 XT vs 2080Ti (S) winter 2019.

Looking at reviews from release date, that claim is not correct.
With AiB cards vs stock in CPU bottlenecked situations at 1080p when the cards were pulling 130+ each, yes. But at 4K, it was still lagging behind the 2080 (especially considering the 2080 super wasn't even out yet).

Anyway I doubt AMD are going after the TI right now. They will need a higher than 300W card to pull that off right now. So most likely those are smaller GPUs to replace the lower end as they move polaris to OEM.
They have too many on their plate right now with 7nm. Ryzen, navi, vega. I expect they will keep the VII as their top card for half a year longer for next year.

The mod is simple, mod the stock bios. Program the bios chip and tape off a few pins on the CPU. Only takes 30 minutes to complete the mod and the CPU runs Intel's specifications perfectly.
So what does that mean for all core clock under load? 4.2?

I already said it, 95w just like GamersNexus. All core load temp with my de-lidded direct die w/ an EK block is 45c-50c.

Anyway we'll seewhat AMD does. Maybe release big Navi at 1.5Ghz?

Nah. AMD is not going down. If anything Big Navi will be higher clocked than 5700 XT. Think of it like RX 480 vs Vega 64. At that market, if AMD wants to beat Nvidia they have to do it with performance and not try to go for power efficiency.

Vega was power hungry because it was AMD's first deep learning compute card. Think of Vega like the first full compute GPU Fermi. The point of RDNA was a pure gaming focused efficient GPU. Not another power hungry compute card.

AMD has a lot in the playbook, as far as release scheduling goes. I expect these will fall a quarter or two before, or after the consoles drop.

more likely after though, as you wanna get the "easy" $600 from everyone on the console, then drop this ~$899, clean out the enthusiast tier twice. people can fud all they like. Those new consoles are gonna be not underwhelming for once. Unless you're just a pompous tool.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.

I don't know. This looks like a $399 card beating a $699 card, overall ($420 vs $740 if we look at street prices).
