maybe - either way, 30x0 is turing refresh

like 4 to 5, or 6 to 7.

I think intel and NV are both falling victim to their own egos. Thinking they were so ahead of the ball Vs. any competition.

AMD's gonna be all new hotness for the next 2 years while NV & intel flounder. I guess we'll see how my predictions pan out this time. They were pretty solid a few years back when AMD was down to like $3.50 a piece.

Why not 9 to 10? Is the node shrink gone?
I'm hoping for a 9 to 10 repeat at least. A little less would be ok too.

Actually a 6 to 7 repeat would be good as well. 4352(2880/1536)=8160

because i didn't pay enough attention to 9 & 10 to properly put it in the list as a factual statement.

I wont believe there is any more Turing refresh for 30x0 on 12 nm. Super is a turing refresh already and its on 2000 code.

3080 probably be the successor but might appear at Q4 2020 earliest.

super is only a partial refresh. There's still no between 2080ti and titan yet

So how many lineup you think NV can squeeze between 4352 cores (2080 Ti) and 4608 cores (T-RTX)?

2080 Ti Super might happen but that is not a full refresh. Dont kid people.

Ampere is next one most likely, probably after 2080 Ti Super. No more Turing refreshes.

The other day an industry source talking about Intel's discrete GPUs made the point that they won't be competing strictly for gaming, so that's probably the reason then, Nvidia knows the landscape and doesn't need to compete at the high end for another year, they just need token upgrades of their current line-up.

I guess this quote I put on post #4 means literally that there won't be anything but Turing for the whole of 2020:

https://www.fool.com/earnings/call-t...ranscript.aspx
if this is true then their production for 7nm may not be ready? unexpected problems? because releasing a 2080T Super will only give AMD the chance to beat nvidia easily

maybe that means AMD's gonna get a leg up on both AMD and Intel for a full season.

that would be the best outcome, as it would cause the most price fluctuation. If NV can only compete by releasing ACTUAL turing refresh (super isn't really a refresh, its a SKU replacement) then AMD can possibly level out the playing field, and thus bring #s down a bit.

funny to see y'all dancing circles around whats coming here.

and yes there's definitely room between 2080ti and titan for yet another super segmentation/sku replacement. the lulz we'll have seeing some folks race to spend $1,500 on 2-5% perf increase

This is what i find so funny and just so typical in this industry. People slap down hundreds, near thousands for cutting edge technology, only to get a half-baked product thats still in experimental phases, and every time people are "outraged" only to then be buying up the next product because "it does it better" - never getting the full use of all the hundreds they put down on the previous card/hardware. Rinse and repeat.

It's just all marketing and PR now with less substance.

If people are stupid enough to buy, I dont blame Nvidia at all. A fool and their money are easily parted. I usually try and keep behind the latest news and hardware releases for this reason. It's all noise to me - unless i ever have very specific needs for the hardware, and even then i'm extremly dubious.
