[Tom's Hardware] Raja Koduri Possibly Hints at June 2020 Intel Xe Graphics Card Release

Source: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/in...ate,40562.html

Quote:
In a conspicuous Twitter post on Friday, Intel’s chief architect Raja Koduri seemingly hinted at a June 2020 announcement or release of the company’s forthcoming Xe graphics cards.

It is common knowledge by now among hardware enthusiasts that Intel will enter the discrete graphics market, as the company has been public about ever since taking Raja Koduri on board. In 2018, the company committed to a 2020 release schedule for the first of those Xe graphics card(s), which eventually will span from entry-level mobile all the way up to the data center, including gaming GPUs, and even exascale supercomputers with a Xe-based GPGPU that will serve as the launch vehicle for Intel's 7nm process.

A third competitor is going to be great. Let's see Nvidia lower those GPU prices like Intel had to lower their CPUs.

why are they all releasing on 1H 2020? feels like theres an under the table agreement going on.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

Not at the moment, but will happen once Intel's product provide competitive performance.

#2 their debt is insane, even for a "diverse field" company. They cannot even afford to service the debt maintenance let alone make an actual dent in the debt itself. - Internet Stranger

Its called the last gen before new consoles shake things up a little. every card, $300 and up will need to come with DP1.4 and HDMI2.1 at that point

everyone gets one last card in, new consoles drop, and then the genuine slayers come with the 40x0(6xxx) refresh as NV tries to separate from intel and AMD.

Just remember that we dont care about the first Intel GPU launch, as it is old gen stuff. The "2021" release will be the one we actually care about on a modern process node.
