SMT4 is the same, makes sense for server farms, not for gaming
SMT never had any sense for gaming.

This is not going to happen on the 8700K.

Beautiful 136 FPS. Is that never happen on 8700K? Well, when CPU or internal game thread scheduler schedule two heavy duty threads on the same physical core, it drops speed significantly.

Show an example of that happening.

Operating systems are SMT-aware, and will load physical cores first and SMT only slips in work when there are ALUs/FPUs available for use in the core. "100%" does not mean the entire core is actually in use.

yeah, CPU has a lot of execution resources, a few of those could be occupied which will show 100% CPU usage, but other execution resources remain idling.
this is where SMT gets its performance increase in very well multi-threaded applications, the assigned threads in SMT can occupy more of the idling execution resources.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.
