Hi,
AMD 12 core was 500.us 3900x I believe.
Room for intel to drop but I just don't see it on this platform 10 core 10900k I wouldn't bet the farm on it going even at 600.us :/

And do we get any kind of upgrade to the iGPU and specifically the QuickSync block capability? That is really the only thing I care about on an Intel processor. We haven't had an upgrade in at least a couple years, I think longer actually. We need an update to the QS block that supports more of the modern 4k file formats and a performance bump.

Will that i5 10600K be a big seller with its high base speed? Although its boost isn't as high as the i9.

Today I learned my CPU doesn't have HT!

now I'm curious what the hell MSIB thinks is core 9-16. My bios also thinks there's HT. Seems like that wouldn't be available to enable without it? now I'm just confused. Definitely isn't an HT chip though, google confirms.

maybe being able to update my bios would help, but nope! still can't get that to work. I'm starting to think I have a genuine USB issue. Between the shield not rooting, and not being able to update my BIOS... Bent pin issue?

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.

AMD has a 6 core CPU with no HT for 120$. I would probably buy an intel CPU with 6 cores unlocked for 199$ but any more than that and it doesn't make sense. Not with AMD's lineup IMO. The extra 15% performance in games (when overclocked like the dickins) is nice but I am only willing to pay so much for a less efficient tech on a dead end socket.

Wait you didn't know the 9700K was 8C/8T? If yours is showing up with HT in CPUZ then you have what amounts to a 9900K that ended up in the wrong bin and was stamped as a 9700K. It wouldn't be the first time that's happened though it is pretty rare.

What mobo do you have?

I mean I guess you can try to jam it in a z370/90 board. Those 49 pins are just for reaching a more marketable number

The 9000 series still hold a small lead in gaming performance, but even that is starting to slip. I don't see the 10 series selling if they aren't priced significantly lower. If these come out in Q1 2020, they'll have some wiggle room, But with Zen 3 supposedly having another 17% increase in IPC, no amount of clockspeed bumps on 14nm will help Intel.

(The Price will need to be adjusted, or they'll need 10nm by end of year 2020)

These guys need to work on a new naming scheme. 5 numbers plus a letter (and eventually 2) is silly and confusing, especially with already 3 different 10-series products out there.

Get ready for more reports of how great 720p gaming will be on these bad boys, for $600+
