True, true, but 7600k is oof , I'm hoping for a sweet combo of a 4600 and a nice bios for my Asus Prime X370-PRO.
Snagged a pair of 8GB Micron-E die Ballistix right before they blew up in popularity for some awesome 3600-3733MHz overclocking as well.

If it's true they might actually be able to compete with the RTX 3080 on time.

I'm having a hard time believing, so long after the 7970, that AMD could possibly match or beat nVidia in a timely fashion. Tremendous if true, though.

That depends on Nvidia to be honest. They have a lot of headroom to play with on the node shrink.

Man please be true. Just purchased a freesync 1440p monitor and I'm really hoping to switch sides. Nvidia prices are crazy and just like I made the switch from Intel to Ryzen I would be willing to do the same with GPU's. Tired of being ripped off.

Nvidia still has the 3080Ti to drop, most likely.

Top performance at any price is not what most are looking for, I would venture.

I have no illusions about a potential 2080ti killer being cheap, but I'll bet it won't be anywhere near as expensive. I also have no doubt that if true, nVidia would reclaim the crown in short order. Even so, it doesn't matter what nVidia does. There are plenty of disaffected people who would gladly "settle" for a top tier card at a lower cost.

I will not pay the prices that nVidia currently demand. I just won't do it and I think there are many like me.
