Thanks for proving my point, the Radeon VII was ahead in 16 of those titles while the RX 5700 XT was ahead in two. The performance gap becomes much higher when overclocked. Mine is at 2100Mhz/1250Mhz.

My RX Vega 64 ran at 1730/1105Mhz sustained and probably would of tied or outperformed it in these test.

The RTX 2080 is 9% faster than a GTX 1080 Ti and when titles utilize FP16 you'll notice a massive increase. Ever since the release of the GTX 980 the X80 cards were always around 8-10% faster than the previous generation Ti card except for the 1080. So of course we're going to see an improvement over the 2080 by at least 25%. You also have to remember DLSS also improves FPS. They've been training their neural network and Wolfenstein Youngblood DLSS looks nice.

Only time an AMD card outperforms a GTX 1080 Ti by a decent amount is when RPM is used.

1% faster on average is pretty lol, someone at work asked me what I do in my spare time, I was like uh I look at tech news. thinking to myself aka yell at people on the internet

TPU shows the RTX 2080 being 17% faster than the GTX 1080 Ti @ 1440p. nVidia's Turing is aging like fine wine.

lol I'm surprised someone who's been on here so long doesn't get how techpowerups charts work.

These charts vary depending on the card being tested. Revolving around the card in this instance the 5600 XT. So at say 4k, on the 2080 ti review. The 1080 ti and the 2080 have a 6% difference. The actual 2080 review a 8% difference. On the 1660 review, a 17% difference. I only say difference because the way they do their charts only confuses people and I don't know a better way to put it.

"This page shows a combined performance summary of all the tests on previous pages, broken down by resolution. Each chart shows the tested card as 100% and every other card's performance as relative to it."

1660

2080

p.s. To summarize, Techpowerup has a trash system

142 / 125 = 1.136, not 1.17.

13.6%.

p.s. To summarize, Techpowerup has a trash system
[email protected]; 205 / 188 = 1.09, not 1.17. 9%.

2080 [email protected]; 82 / 75 = 1.083, not 1.06. 8.3%.

Jesus Christ guys, unless the lower number is 100, comparing percentages is division, not subtraction.

Dear lord this forum is going straight to the depths of hell.

But if someone like Ryan Shrout, who wouldn't be able to correctly operate in percentages even if his life was on the line, was able to land a job at Intel I don't know why would it disqualify you to post in this forum.
