i expect bigger jumps in performance, not cheaper products. We won't really see it until intel's releasing 70/80+ tier cards.

NV's take on lack of competition is higher prices and smaller gains.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.
Best R0ach Quote of all time : TLDR: Haswell might be the last legit gaming platform unless mice get their own non-USB interface on some newer architecture.

If this is just a current model with a new plastic shroud I'm going to be dissapointed.

Cyberpunk: Hey @nvidiageforce
, what do you think about making a limited edition #Cyberpunk2077 GPU?

Maybe when "big navi" comes out and ampere isn't beating the crap out of it, nvidia will consider reduce prices. But from what AMD showed us in the past, if they have a high performing card, they will not underprice nvidia. They will only price match and try to push through PR and underdog stigma to sell their cards. So I don't expect lower prices in the coming future. Especially if big navi isn't going to give a hardware solution to tensor cores.
Exactly. Why should AMD reduce prices when they don't have to. Competition leading to lower prices isn't a thing anymore, it only leads to price matching and gouging the consumer for as much as they can. We'll be lucky to see a price reduction and if at all it'll be $100 or less.

I think the biggest incentive AMD and Nvidia have to reduce prices is to prevent PC gamers from switching to console with the new generation coming out this year. This is especially true if MS finally lets the Xbox run Windows. Imagine if people considering a budget or mid-tier PC build are suddenly given the option to buy a ~$500 Xbox with performance greater than a 5700 XT that not only runs the entire legacy Xbox game catalog, but can also boot into Windows and play Steam games as well. I'm a lifelong PC gamer that hasn't bought a console since the PS2, but I would seriously consider an Xbox if MS offered that while Nvidia and AMD continued to charge exorbitant prices.

It's actually an good question. This very much is an answer each person has there own answer for and all are them are right. Today's society can appear and does have more people who like to judge to people on there decision. In these sort of matters, it's important to respect whoever opinion on this. I prefer to go with it's whatever makes you happy in the end.

I wasn't gonna get a 2080ti, but then i did, then I wasn't gonna water cool it, then I did... as soon as optimus sends me the damn block it is quite pricey though, even with the fancy unseen back plate included for pre-orders. IE: the block is about to get even more expensive, cuz they said the back plate is mandatory. let's hope they don't end up always being outta stock like Aquacomputer's back plates.

all this hype train reminds me, i still have a 1080ti I need to flip before a 3060 comes along n kicks it in the nuts @ $300. maybe I'll finally turn one into wall art instead. send enough signal to fan spin & light up + some more LEDs.
