Yeah but double the CU will bit go from 330 to 650+. Most likely 5xx range max.

While I am taking this rumor with a grain of salt (wccftech is always wrong), your math is off.

However, if the Vega cores on the 4800U are anything to go by, I have no doubt that AMD can push out a Monster CPU. Some quick back of the napkin math tells me that they could indeed roll out 64 CUs at close to RX 5700 clockspeeds while keeping the TDP at 250 watts. How is this possible? They have been doing a ton of power optimization work for Vega and Navi.

That is why I tell people, don't count AMD out yet. They have been working with TSMC 7nm a lot longer than NVIDIA has.

That's not my math. Did you read the rumor? It stated that Arcturus will have 8192 Stream Processors. No way Arcturus will have 25 TFlops of FP32 performance with only 64 CUs. Doubling the amount of CUs and lowering the frequency seems reasonable to achieve the rumored specs.

Mi25 FP32 performance: 12.29TFlops
Mi60 FP32 performance: 14.75TFlops

The Vega cores in the 4800u are based on Vega II 7nm where as the 3700u Vega 10 was based on first generation 14nm Vega.
