Apologies, really busy dealing with life and health issues. I'll get back to you on this, you did bring up a great point as these cards normally run around 50mhz lower than set clock. Totally slipped my mind, now I gotta push it out further haha. Not quite sure I can on air in stock config but maybe, we'll see.

It's okay, I was just stating that most silicon can be undervolted and overclocked. I'm running my Titan RTX at 2100Mhz/2075Mhz undervolted to .975v to save some power. Instead of using around 300-330w it's using 220-250w.

2140+/-mhz pulling around 220 watts, 50% on power limit, 1.2v and core clock set to 2200. Just using basic wattman tools, afterburner hates this card or my system. Not really happy at all with this version for OC'ing compared to last years but gaming is 500% better on these drivers. Don't quite understand how the previous version allowed for much higher overclocking and lower undervolt numbers but the benchmarks definitely show the hit..

Out of curiosity I checked ebay for the going rate of the Titan RTX - Are people really still buying them for $2500 used these days? I love the idea of buying high end cause it'll have a longer useful life but man that's rough. Seems like the 2080 Ti is a bargain in comparison.

Highly doubt it too AMD hasn't been competitive to Nvidia in a longggg time, going back to 290 X days.
110% this

AMD have no interest in competing with the 'PC gpu market' cause they only care about their console contracts in making gpus for those, cause they technically run a monopoly with that, since the Switch runs a tegra and isn't really meant to compete with PS and Xbox.

It's not about having a high end card. It's about having a card with 24GB for HPC. The Titan V and Titan RTX are a bargain for the hardware compared to Teslas/Quadros. If the user is just gaming I don't see a reason to buy a Titan RTX or Radeon VII aside from bragging.

In all fairness at the $550 I paid for it, the Radeon VII is extremely competitive for gaming, especially when the main games you play favor AMD anyways... At 4k the only card faster than it for BFV is a 2080ti which is well, $650 more.

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/m...-x-trio/9.html

Less than 10fps difference for $650 seems like a good deal to me...

But yea, it does feel good to have 16gb of vram pushing out 1,228.8GB/s bandwidth at 1200mhz (e-peen and all that jazz)

used units were sliding for ~$900 on a good day when I swooped my EVGA. (i only buy used EVGA GPUs)

The rest of RTX (Titan aside) is gonna age like milk. Assuming 3080 is even 10% faster outside of RTX (it'll definitely be faster in RTX activities) i'll jump ship just so I don't have to sell it for $350 at the end of the year.

If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.
Best R0ach Quote of all time : TLDR: Haswell might be the last legit gaming platform unless mice get their own non-USB interface on some newer architecture.

You are semi right, but it's more that fact that they just can't make high end GPU's for the enthusiast market. There desgins are lacking and haven't be able to compete against Intels offering since the R9 200 series.

I like to have fun.
