I hope more of the NVlink tech gets passed down to the RTX gaming cards. We got more bandwidth for Turing, but Nvidia still restricted the memory sharing.

If rumors are true, we'll just need one, and a mainstream card at that! Tomorrows the day.

It is clearly a server board with mezzanine connected, datacenter form factor GPUs on the server board. Like these:

And the GPU form factor is exactly like this V100 mezzanine card:

This is not a 3080Ti, it is an A100 die card for datacenter just like the *100 dies have been for a long time now. This will not be coming out in a gaming variant. You would expect that people writing articles for tech hardware on major websites would at least know such basic things.

That wouldn’t lead to clicks so even if they knew better, it’s all about the clicks

well that's easy. they intentionally write dumb content to generate clicks. way less people are gonna click if you tell them the truth. so blind leading the blind is all it really is.

Add me on Steam, same name
R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.
Best R0ach Quote of all time : TLDR: Haswell might be the last legit gaming platform unless mice get their own non-USB interface on some newer architecture.
