Uh... CS:GO actually showcases higher maximum and minimums on Ryzen 3000. Not sure where your info is coming from, but... same source as OP showed as much.

Intel has worse IPC than AMD, but the higher clockspeed keeps them relevant. Besides, anything AMD puts out doesn't have to be faster than what Intel puts out, they've shown that much as is right now. They're outselling Intel ten to one globally and with what's coming soon enough, not even talking about Ryzen 4000 here, they'll command a spot in every price bracket for Zen 2.

You won't see kids watching Bill Maher (at least I hope not) or listening to Joe Rogan's podcasts.

But you're right. Social media is to blame for the vapid influencer culture that plagues twitter, insta, and YT.

likewise. I landed on 9700k as a bargain buy when moving on from X79, so now I need a worthy successor, with more than 16 lanes.

I went from a Radeon 7950/i7-3770k to a 3900x/2080ti, with that and now on NVMe I can't believe how different it feels in just about everything

Good thing the chipset drivers uninstall the CPU and make it have ∞ core Latency and games actually run in reverse and uninstall from the system. Stay away from ryzen period.

GPU i currently own: R9 390/290x/290/390x/FuryX/Vega FE/RX Vega 64/ - CPUs: 5960x/R7 1700/X5650x2/E5 2863/e5 2670/R5 3600/FX 9590

My thoughts exactly, difference should be much more than double.

I went from a fast SSD to an NVME and honestly think getting a larger SSD instead would've been a better choice. When I bought the NVME the prices were really high and I thought perceived upgrade would be in line with benchmarks. I was wrong.

Our current times must be desktop PC nirvana, minus the Covid of course.

Eh I like LTT. If I want something more in depth I'll go to gamer's nexus - even linus acknowledges that they are better about that kind thing. LTT is a fun. They have an almost unlimited budget to do crazy things with tech and I enjoy the spectacle of it.

Also, there new unboxing channel is great unscripted content, and I even enjoy their tech news channel now and then.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. They're only outselling Intel 10-1 in the retail PC component sales industry. Not pre-builts or laptops, which is where where the majority of the money is. I'm not saying it's not significant (it is!), but we need to be realistic too.
