If you want a decent non RGB AIO, I'd recommend an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 if you have room for a 360mm radiator in your case. If not, then a LF II 280 will work nicely too.
For air cooling, NH-D15, or if you can find one, a Thermalright True Spirit 140 Power.

I have an Icegiant Prosiphon Elite on preorder but their shipments were delayed until September

Yeah seeing that the 9900K does put out a good bit of heat, adding 2 more cores would make that existing issue worse. If you can keep it cool though the performance is gonna be excellent.

I have a True Spirit 140 Power and am quite impressed with the quality/cooling capability/low noise. Doyll has mentioned it's within a few % of as good as the Noctua D15 and I don't doubt it at all. Paid $26 for mine just a few days ago which was an epic deal on Amazon.

I think the only thing should matter is (if ever Rocket Lake is released) how much of a performance difference would make a 8c/16t part I mean i think intel could cover the 10c cpus demand with the Enthusiast socket AMD technically doesnt do that with TR's socket?

I'm sure that something similar was said back when Intel first hit 3GHz on the Pentium 4. Never say never.

...

Intel CPU sucking more juice at load than specs would suggest...? And in other news, water is wet.

hadn't they already learned their lessons during the netburst era? throwing more Ghz at the problem isn't gonna solve the problem itself...
look at AMD, they backpedaled on the Ghz yet they're doing awesome within the 4Ghz range.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

Of course not. Intel isn't gonna release the 10th gen and then release a new desktop lineup in the same year. Tbh it is a hard time to pull the upgrade trigger in this time when AMD's Zen 3-based 4000 series might just be around the corner, and Intel still trying to catch its unicorn 10nm process (though they might skip it entirely). I upgraded from the rig in my sig to a R9 3900X and an X570. With the latest news that X570 and B550 supporting Zen 3 chips, a 3000 series CPU and a 500 series board makes the most sense.
