[TH] 11th-Gen Intel Rocket Lake-S Processor Benchmarked

Source: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/11...or-benchmarked

Quote:
Intel's 10th-Gen Comet Lake-S processors might be in the heat of their launch, but that doesn't stop us from being excited for the chips that succeed it: Rocket Lake. This 11th generation of Intel Core processors is expected to bring an architecture change from Skylake, which we've been stuck on for five years now with nothing more than minor changes. Today, an engineering sample of a Rocket Lake processor has been spotted undergoing 3DMark tests.
For comparison a 9900k with the latest microcode D2 and patches, pretty large performance increase from Skylake.

9900k @ 3.2Ghz(all core) Physics score:15205 - https://www.3dmark.com/fs/22816124
9900k @ 4.3Ghz(all core) Physics score: 20345 - https://www.3dmark.com/fs/22816102

Good thing that 9900K can oc high. My R5 3600 @4.2 gets 20400.

By Built-in Benchmark Queen:
My 2.5 years old delidded 7980xe @ 4600mhz all core with 49ns memorylatency (4000c16 twekaed) is faster than 3950x max overclocked on water in every scenario. Pretty good for a ancient cpu
In gaming it has no chance vs my new 10900k @ 5400mhz and 4600c16 tweaked memory. ~35ns memorylatency.

I had to go look but my 2700x was 20450 and the 3700x is 24500, pretty sure both of those are stock with a 360mm AIO.

Ha! I just threw them out there for comparison, these benchmark leaks aren't very useful with a frame of reference. My brain is good at throwing away insignificant information so I always have to go look up benchmark scores, I had no idea if 20000 was good or bad.
