The card could come with HBM2 for all we know, like the Radeon pro 5600M. In fact, after all the hype around Polaris, then Vega, then again with Navi, I refuse to get my hopes up for anything. As far as I'm concerned, "big Navi" is just a port of the Series x's GPU to desktop(~60 CU), with an upgrade to HBM2 on the high end model.
Anything above 384 bits you are most likely just having wishful thinking, AMD & NV ditch 512 bits eon ago, so unless we are seeing the return of 512 bits if not 448 bits wont be out.

Gpbs is not the problem, it is the monstrous amount of bandwidth that 7nm GPU need, take a look at Ampere, they need 1.5 TB/s of bandwidth.

Since current GPU are capped at 384 bits for GDDR module chip, you have to compensate wit higher speed module to meet the demand for bandwidth.

When your charging $1K+ for a card you can afford a 512 bit bus, the reason they aren't common anymore is just for a cost savings.

1)An 18gbps 448-bit bus is unlikely, but would explain the capacity and bandwidth figured in the "leak".

2) Nothing is confirmed about the memory configuration, not even the type(GDDR or HBM) at this time.

3) I don't think this "leak" is credible.

This guys has been running around saying Ampere is going to be 60-70% better than turing. The latest leaks are casting a lot of doubt on that prediction.

The only way Ampere will end up that much faster is if they drop Turing Support or it involves DXR.

My R9 390 has a 512 bit bus. Doesn't mean it performs all that well, but I suppose it does pretty good @ 1080p. It is quite the oven though, seemingly puts out more heat than my old GTX 1080. Seemingly lol.

If it delivers consistent performance across the board I might go with it as long as Nvidia didn't crush it with RTX 3080 Ti or whatever that is. What I like about Nvidia is how their performance is consistent across all games with very few exceptions. AMD tends to varies alot, in some games you see the 5700 XT almost as fast as 2080 Super while in other it does not surpass even a 2060 Super.

This guy just seems to spout whatever rumors he finds. Not finding any value in his videos.

Oh this one definitely did. Wonder if I still have the box sitting around in a parts closet somewhere. Still have my 5770 sitting in there.
