[Videocardz] ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Ti ROG STRIX leaked?

Quote:
Is this the upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 Ti from ASUS? We are not sure. The picture (which originally was much lower resolution) shows a new model featuring ROG STRIX branding and a 3080 Ti label. The title of the slide says “next-generation ROG STRIX”.

We believe the picture is from ASUS’s internal meeting discussing new designs for the upcoming Ampere-based graphics cards from NVIDIA. The card would feature a triple-fan design. The card looks a lot different from the current-gen RTX 2080 Ti mode. ASUS allegedly decided to combine black and silver design.

Unless NVIDIA is planning a much bigger high-end GPU lineup than before, the 3080 Ti label would indicate that RTX 3090 rumors are not true, as the next-generation enthusiast model would retain the same naming scheme as Turing series.

Its has to be legit. Asus is known for horrendous aesthetic design. On a side note, were 3rd party cards dropped at the same time FE's for RTX?

looking the the tpu reviews database: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb...-Cards/NVIDIA/

the 2080ti and 2080 had both AIB and FE on release and the same for the 2070 a month later. the 2060 that was 3 months after the 2070; looked to have FE for the first week then AIBs.

i think all of pascal was slightly staggered ala the 2060.

Remember the golden rule of statistics: A personal sample size of one is a sufficient basis upon which to draw universal conclusions.

We must be getting very close to geforce ampere launch after all. August or sept launch incoming.

Also I don't know where the nonsense idea of 3090 came from and how it stuck

Wait, so the 3090 is not a thing anymore?

Also, RoG Strix 3080 Ti would be the one to get. I don't expect to see these at launch though - FE first and perhaps 3 months down the road (Dec. 2020?).
