It is. There isn't anything shady about wanting to stop making old to make new. It's what has driven society forward.
but I'm not part of that business. I am part of the consumers and therefore do not like when their decisions directly go against our interests.
"Any business that doesn't give away their products for free are against consumer interests". I fail to understand how can someone who works for a living and is part of a value chain for n number of products be talking about consumer interests and wanting things for free. Should Fedex deliver your packages for free? Should your dentist give you free root canals because that's what in the consumer's interest?
I almost feel like there should be a law against this type of thing.
I'm happy there isn't any law that stop companies from doing this because I can't find logic in doing such a thing besides pissing off "consumer interest" brigade.
