MultiThreaded Mayhem MTMII 2013: $1000 in cash prizing! And Motherboards!
MultiThreaded Mayhem MTMII 2013
January 1st 0:01AM - January 31st 23:59PM Eastern -5GMT
This months competition is based on heavily threaded benchmarks.
3Dmark Vantage is being used,
but only the CPU tests and CPU score are needed.
Classes are split by thread and core count.
Click on images for download links.
Operating systems are going to play a big part in this competition so let us know what you are running
wPrime (V1.55) 32M
wPrime (V1.55) 1024M
3Dmark Vantage CPU score (physx disabled)
AMD 4 Threads
AMD 6 Threads
AMD 8 Threads
Intel 4 Threads
Intel 8 Threads
Intel 12 Threads
Rules and limitations:
No unreleased hardware.(HW architecture that is unavailable) or hardware that is not available on the retail market. ES cpu of current and older generations are acceptable. If the architecture was never released to the retail market by January 1st, it is not useable.
Attach a picture of your overclocking rig
Any cheaters will be banned from this and future competitions.
A verification screenshot with up to date version of CPUz (CPU and MEM tabs) and notepad containing forum name and "Multithreaded Mayhem" is required. (wPrime only)
You can enter all classes if you can handle it.
You can only enter one CPU per class. You are allowed to upgrade your CPU during the competition.
There are no cooling restrictions!
Use the Multi-Threaded Wallpaper (wPrime)
Core unlocking is allowed, core disabling in order to change class is not. Nor can you disable HT in order to join a lower class. If you choose to unlock cores, you can only submit in one class. Submitting in two classes with the same CPU is not allowed. You cannot change classes once you've submitted in a class either, so choose wisely.
In the event of a tie breaker, Highest AI test in 3Dmark Vantage wins
If your CPU has an odd amount of core or doesn't fall into the number of threads for these classes, you can still compete, but you must choose the next highest thread count class to compete in. IE: If you have 3 threads, you must compete in the 4 thread class.
Submission requirements per benchmark:
wPrime: Multi-threaded Wallpaper, CPUz with CPU and Memory tab, wPrime score window, and notepad with forum name and "Multithreaded Mayhem" is required
3Dmark Vantage: 3Dmark submission link from 3dmark.com. In the results detail, edit name to your forum name and edit description to "Multithreaded Mayhem"
Scoring: Points are per benchmark
1st: 10 points
2nd: 9 points
3rd: 8 points
4th: 7 points
5th: 6 points
6th: 5 points
7th: 4 points
8th: 3 points
9th: 2 points
10th and higher: 1 point
Prizes: $1000 in prizing!!
Prizes will be split based on participation level per class. The more participants in a class equate to more of the prize pool going to that class.
Example: If Intel 8 threads class have 42% of the participation, that class will receive 42% of the prize pool.
From there the prize pool split per class will be:
If participation for any class breaks 60%, the prize pool of that class will be split:
