Okay so I downgraded my firmware (thanks to them providing it) to 07 and did a clean install of the new AMD drivers released today. Did the CRU fix and now it seems FreeSync is working in every game except Left4Dead 2, which is odd. Is FreeSync tied to game engines or something?

What firmware did you have I have only used V02, V06, V07? As far as I understand freesync is not tied to a game engine.

I was on V07. Pixio sent me in an e-mail V06, fixed the saturation toggle from enabling "Response Time" too. Okay so here is what I did, I just discovered a fix by complete accident.

So I installed the newest AMD drivers; non-whql-win10-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-16.11.5-nov25. Then I factory reset my monitor then installed the downgraded firmware and then factory reset again. I then loaded up CRU and performed the "V-Rate" fix for the monitor's freesync range (55-144).

FreeSync is, for now, working again but only in specific games. I went around testing some games and discovered the following:

Works in:
Overwatch
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Left 4 Dead 1

Does Not Work In:
Left 4 Dead 2
Contagion
No More Room In Hell

What do all the games that it doesn't work have in common? They're all modifications of the same engine...! Left 4 Dead 1 is a much older version of source engine, where Contagion and Left4Dead 2 are near carbon copies even down to bugs in the menu settings. No More Room In Hell probably is a variation of the Left4Dead 2 engine as well, but can't confirm. I then discovered a fix by complete accident so now I'm even more confused and wish someone with more knowledge could chime on on this with me.

After every failed launch where it looks something like this, I have to press tilde(~) and type quit into console. The monitor then refuses to show anything but a black screen which requires me to have to press the POWER button. However, out of sheer frustration and accident I by mistake press the Adjust Aspect Ratio button. This immediately brought my monitor back to life without me having to turn it off. I then launched Left4Dead 2 and once I went into fullscreen it did it's usual thing, however this time i pressed the aspect ratio key and it immediately fixed the problem.

So... now I'm confused. Refreshing the monitor fixes the glitching, it doesn't matter what aspect ratio button I press but it's just dandy after that.

I am also on V06 it's the best one so far if you can stand the small artifacts. Sounds like it might be a firmware bug that's odd behavior. I don't have any of those games installed so I can't test.

So far, the picture quality has me very impressed. I've not touched any color calibration and out of the box Crysis, Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2 look amazing. No dead pixels and unless the screen is totally black I don't notice any bleed. For the price I'm VERY happy.

One item of note.... The stand seems to be on incorrectly from the factory. You can only put the foot of the stand on one way... There are no options as it's a fixed stand. The monitor tilts WAY back. I've emailed their customer support about it and sent some pictures. I think they installed the clear acrylic part backwards...

The stand looks correct. It does tilt just takes some force.
