It has been a long time since I've seen a bezel that large.

Yes!

I'm also interested to know about the input lag on this. I've been searching for a while now for a decent 1440p 144hz monitor and everything seems so crazy overpriced. I've got dual 970s so I can't take advantage of the freesync but for under $400 I can't complain. And I'm thinking the 970s should be able to drive most the games I'm playing at 144 fps without too much trouble so hopefully the lack of gsync won't be too much of a problem.

970 on SLI this is more than enough for 1440 gaming , also I would not worry about input lag too much but if you like you can also contact Pixio for that information.

Yeah, but spending the extra 160 on the Acer gives you a 3 year warranty instead of the Pixio's 1 year. Also if you have any problems with the Pixio, you have to pay for shipping to them.

It's a decent value, but that extra 160 gives you a bezel that's way better for multi-monitor setups, better stand, and a significantly better warranty.
