4k on A 55 INCH LOOKS AMAZING now just picture if we could get 8k on a screen that size it would be mindblowing especially at 8k and a oled screen
I own dual 5K 27"s, (UP2715K), and I want to move up to 32", but 4K at 32" was too small for me for 100%. Hoping that improved clarity at 200% of 8K would make UP3218K usable at 200% (effective 4K) although it is still smaller font. Does it make a difference?

I'd say the 8k @ 32 is a waste now when you have 8k tv's popping up I am sure the 8k nanocell ips tv that LG releases later this year will be cheaper than the $4999 that samsung is asking for on there tv. And with the added features the 8k tv's will have over the dell 8k monitor I'd personally pick the tv over the monitor if I was looking to go back into 8k while I had the 8k display it did have some problems that I still can't justify spending $2900 on at its current price like backlight bleed on the middle of the screen. And sleep and wake issues

For TV or gaming, yes, but I guess 55" will be way too large for a monitor. I expect 55 to be minimum and I need it for programming/3D.

But, owning 5K Dells now, I know dual DP may and is messy with things; lag, boot issues, special driver support on different systems... Yep, I actually now recall promising myself I'll never go dual cable again.
While I simply love text sharpness on double scaling...

Given how Titan X Pascal handles 4K, I would think two of the next gen flagship GPUs can at least produce playable framerates at 8K. Prohibitively expensive, I know. But it's good to know that it'll most likely be doable by the end of the year.
yeaaaah idk man... maybe @ 30FPS on lowest settings, in titles that TRULY support SLi. (none of that 55%/55% bullnonsense)

besides that, totally hosed.

samsung has a qled 8k tv 65 for $3859 I would rather take my chances with that if you are someone looking to get into 8k gaming if it supports 8k @ 60hz via hdmi and you have at least 2 titan rtx's or even 1 titan rtx and plan on playing older games 8k should be playable in newer titles that support sli good with 2 titan rtx's the vram requirement is like about 16gb

There's a very noticeable difference....
Was going to say. The difference is pretty big... maybe @ZealotKi11er sits quite far away from his TV
