Acer Nitro VG0 !?

https://www.anandtech.com/show/12804...s-freesync-ips

Anyone else interested?
Seems the 27 inch will do 2160p @ 144 Hz using IPS panel (but I would not be surprised if it ends up using 60 Hz when 2160p... Lets see)

SDR tho and "low" brigthness, but I don't care about that since I will use it at night only. I'm running my current monitor at 30% brightness which means I'm at like 150-175 nits now. 250 nits will be more than enough.

Should be cheap.

Are these actually using the new AUO IPS panels, that have a bit better response than M270? Also, how could the price be that low for 27" 1440p/2160p 144Hz IPS?

I wonder if the 1440p one uses some new panel instead of the same one thats used on xf270hua and others

Just ordered the xf270hua a couple of days ago. If its a bad one I guess I'll just return it and take my money back instead of playing another round of lottery.

AUO has made an improved version of the panels used on xf270hua etc. but no monitors yet use them.

Does LG have any Nano IPS 27 inch panels?

I would greatly prefer a LG panel over AU Optronics, those are hit and miss in my experience..

The 24" and 27" 1080p are 75 Hz LG panels.
The 27", 1440p/2160p will be either the new reported 144 Hz LG panels or the new revision of the AUO panels.

I guarantee you the 4k version of this monitor will not be 144Hz. However 1080p, 144Hz, AND IPS is actually the first of it's kind as none exists right now. So all the whiners of 1080p 144Hz TN and VA can now rejoice.

We will see, it's not HDR / 10 bit panel so bandwidth for 2160p @ 144 Hz should not be a problem if newer inputs are used. Tbh I don't need 2160p, 1440p would be enough, but has to be 25-27 inches.

I'd never buy a 1080p monitor at this point, regardless of panel. People that accepts 1080p TN usually don't care about image quality, they want speed and this IPS will be inferior in that regard.

Depends what the specs will be, so far they presented the specs confusingly and no one seems to know what size has what resolution and refresh rate options. Nor is it known what specific panels will be used.
It's time there are updates to the AUO 2015 IPS M270DAN2.x for sure.
