XB271UH IPS vs MG278Q IPS

For an rtx 2070, I really want IPS for the viewing angles, and these have 4ms gtg so that's ok. The Freesync Asus MG278Q was listed by Jen-Sun? at CES2019 as being certified for g-sync. Is it official yet ? I could order this week. The MG is almost $200 cheaper here, it's 2-3 years older tho.

Any thought's ? Again should have the cash this week/next week.

I read that wrong, it's the MG278Q that passed g-sync, not the IPS MG279Q

oh well, back to the Acer then
