I use Oled tv's to play console and pc games.
According to LG news room the link above the tv's will start rolling out this month so hopefully by end of the month or mid march we can start seeing it on various websites.

I'm going to hold off until HDMI 2.1 GPU's are available. The C9 really won't do much for me over my C8 until that happens. Or heck by then, the Alienware OLED may be coming online. Rumblings that we won't see HDMI 2.1 on GPU's until 2020.

Yeah I can't wait until 2nd half of year so I am hoping they release it before. the BFGD hp emperium Omen X from nvidia the hp only has a 1 year warranty and at that price $4999 anyone in there right mind is insane to buy it. I am sticking a 2 or 3 year squaretrade warranty on my C9

I'll probably wait until next year. I want higher pixel density. Hopefully a 43inch next year. Or smaller 8k model's. But it's nice to see the price coming down.

LG is planning a 48 inch model, don't expect smaller.

Was going to upgrade to this but since we dont have HDMI 2.1 might as well wait for C10.

they are releasing an 8k model this year I believe its a 77 inch or 80 oled tv I'f you are trying to use 8k for gaming I wouldn't recommend it unless you have titan rtx nvlinked since 8k uses alot of vram in games I have played on the dell 8k display and it uses about 18-20gb of vram in various games at that resolution with max settings.

Hinsense or TCL i forget which one announced during ces 2019 they will be releasing a 8k tv for $3500 it won't be oled

DP1.4 to HDMI2.1 convertor, anyone?
GPUs really killed it and who knows if newer consoles will have HDMI2.1 considering they don't need it for the bandwidth they will spit frames out at.

It's really disappointing that newest GPUs still don't have HDMI2.1 and TVs DP1.4.

so would the tv have to be 8k native in order to use 8k @ 60hz in pc mode even if it has the available bandwidth with hdmi 2.1 ? for the 4k models
