38" Class 21:9 UltraGear™ QHD+ Nano IPS LED Gaming Monitor w/ NVIDIA G-SYNC (38" Diagonal)

Dan-LG rep:

38GL950G - this will be dedicated G-Sync model - we are expecting roughly September 2019 for launch here in the UK

there will be a Freesync/G-sync Compatible model coming as well, but this we wont see till 2020

Currently I do not have access to any specs of either model - but I have asked if I can have some that I can release to you all so once I hear back I will advise

This looks to be the widescreen equivalent of the LG 32GK850G - an awesome monitor if you found one defect free. Thanks, Vega, for giving this monitor a proper thread.

Not even close, 32GKxxxx is a flat AUO VA, this ultrawide is not an AUO VA, nor flat. Plus it's a lower height than 16:9 31.5" http://www.displaywars.com/31,5-inch...7B3840x1600%7D

Obviously they are different by specs!
However, the 32GKxxx hit that right mix of features to make it stand out. There are plenty of 27" 1440P G-sync monitors out there, but very few 30" 1440P G-sync. And while the link does show the vertical height of the this monitor is actually less than a 31.5, it is an inch taller than the 34" wide screens.

Personally, I have not bought a wide screen because of the lack of vertical space. However, the extra vertical inch of this model may be tempting enough to illicit a purchase for myself and at least a few others. And in that regard, this monitor may have 100's of pages of posts similar to the 32GKxxxx.

It's a better size than the 34"ish 1440p ultrawides that's for sure. Those are 27" height.
Gsync is pointless, it's an extra $200+ to pay for getting locked to NV hardware only.

32GKxxx was attractive because it was the first decent flat VA, but it has plenty other issues that kill it.

I was going to go for the 34GK950F(or G) model, but I changed my mind and is now waiting for the 38GL950G instead
Have LG announced anything yet about a possible release date/month ?

This monitor looks pretty darn awesome

*Just saw the first post ~September.

This monitor have been listed by a Swedish shop now:

https://www.inet.se/produkt/2215353/...nano-ips-175hz

24.990kr is about €2,346 or $2,643 or £2,091

In Sweden we got 25% tax tho (all prices are with the Swedish tax, so it will be cheaper in America)

Looking forward to seeing the reviews on this one.

I'm thinking of getting this one, or maybe three of the 27" 27GL850-B monitors, and putting them in surround for gaming.
