Anyway i think HDR in windows still suck.
When you turn it on, your text looks fringy, especially when you ctd while playing a game, some how the drivers are still not aware enough to switch back to desktop clarity.

After watching his review, I have come to the conclusion that this monitor is not going to be worth anything near whatever price tag ASUS is going to throw on in. Looks like the newly announced LG monitor might be the one I look at now.

IPS glow is a real killer.

IPS glow is less of a problem with fald displays

Only way to reduce ips glow is follow Apple xdr display, sandwich a double ips panel and put a good atw polariser film.
That said, ips black levels still suck.
Its really between ips glow+sucky blacks+stabler off axis colors or va contrast shift+deep blacks.
I personally take Va panels anyday since i see straight on to the screen.

I need to see apple xdr in person though. probably same tech as panasonic super ips sandwich tech

Three cooling fans?! I wonder if the internal DAC can be turned off. If so will that keep it cooler?
Not an edge to edge. :/
More ghosting than LG.
LG is less laggy than the more FPS ASUS.

This looks like a disaster. Maybe the Acer version will be better, but probably not.

For $2500 it's a HARD $ell to say the least. If it was $1500 msrp and came down to $1200 the second year like the pg34 did I think they would have a better shot at it.

Well, fingers crossed for Micro LED in a few years. Till then the LG 38 is looking like the monitor of choice.

I'll wait to see more reviews, but if this VA panel still ghosts worse than a slow IPS panel, what's the point?
