LG C9 As A Secondary Monitor; Burn Concern

I would being using a C9 mounted to the wall above my gaming monitor. It would house things like FF windows, Discord, and similar things. Windows placed there will be stationary for hours if not days. I never shut down my computer/monitors. The Windows logo will be there 24/7. What are the odds that burn in will happen? I went to Best Buy and they said go with a SAMSUNG monitor because of its use.

What do you guys think?

First of all, using a C9 as a secondary monitor? Damn, I wish I had that sort of cash to burn.

Second, yea it will probably cause burn-in. You're better off with an LCD or QLED for this.

Third, A C9 AS A SECONDARY MONITOR?!?!?!?!

Im struggling to believe this isn't trolling. If somehow you're serious and need a 4k120hz adaptive sync full size TV for Discord.. then yeah you want the Samsung QLED, that use case will obviously burn in an OLED as fast as you burn holes in your pockets by the sounds.

No need for OLED for that usage.

Sorry, guys. Don't mean to sound trollish. I have been saving for a new monitor setup for three years putting away money in an account specifically for this. With the new LG monitor out, it's time for a total revamp.

Other than the blackest of blacks, what does LG have over SAMSUNG? Is Sony a viable option?

Let's start over on this.

1. What is your current monitor?
2. What size do you want your new monitor to be?
3. Will it only be used as a secondary monitor for your PC? or will it be used for something else as well?

Well, it OLED vs VA. Better colors, better viewing angles, better pixel response.

1. My current monitor is a 60hz 1440 ASUS POS.
2. I want a 38 inch with a 55 inch TV right above the 38 inch monitor.
3. Only as a secondary monitor in so much during the day it will run Discord and Firefox and at night, it will be what I swivel around to run TV shows/movies I fall asleep to.

from what I've seen, not many if any OLED burn in complaints are popping up anymore.

every person to get one leaves with the same opinion. The best damn screen they've ever had, period.

it'll be nice when they aren't yuuuuuuuuge. the whole 3440x1440p120hz nonsense annoys me. I'm looking forward to when I can flip this for a proper 4K120.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
