LG 34GK950F-B now or wait for LG 34GN850-B

I've heard that these are the same panels, would it be better to wait and get the newer panel? Doesn't make too much difference when i get it, i had to sell my computer before i moved.

I had the same question a while back.. I ended up buying a BenQ EX3501R at $530 shipped, which I thought was a damn good deal.. It does 100mhz.. I bought a LG 34GK950F-B last week and it arrived today, but has like 9 vertical lines at the very top of the screen, so i have to return it. Returning things to LG is not the easiest either.. I have to email them and wait for them to reply with how to do it..

Kind of pissed since i paid $970 delivered for a bad monitor and they cant just ship me a new one out.. So, fortunately amazon has some in stock and i ordered one today and it should be here on thursday. Then i will need to return this benq.

I just built this pc and bought a new 27" asus VG27AQ which was an amazing monitor, but i wanted to try an ultrawide and thats where i am at now..

I was thinking about getting that one, but I guess i didnt want to break that $1k mark just yet.. I guess the only difference is a G-Sync module in the one you bought?
