LG 27GL83A-B isn't 2k but 1440p. 2k = 2048 = TV resolution of 1920x1080px. Same as 4k is 3840x2160px in the TV specs and 4096x2160px in the pro specs.

Pick your poison really when it comes to 27" IPS 1440p 144+Hz.

That's a pretty good one, IMO. The only real improvements you're going to find to IPS tech is in 1080p 240+ Hz monitors. If you want 1440p, though, that LG is probably your best bet. It's a bit faster than your Acer, and it has a better coating.

There's one hell of a panel lottery though. Local amazon has a lot of them up as used. Not to mention the price which is just 25 euro lower from its big bro 27GL850 which goes for 500. 83A is supposed to be 350.

I mean, if the price is identical, sure, get the higher-end model.

I guess you are looking somewhere in Europe (Austria,Germany) because in USA price difference is very big between these 2 models.

Lucky you then. If you don't need DCI-P3, go with 83A.
