well, is it worth it to pay the extra 3% of $300 Canadian for the zero-pixel guarantee? and BTW, is the difference between 12ms response time and 8ms response time THAT noticeable or almost never will you see it?

12ms is fine and yes get the dead pixel protection, i had a few on my old LCD and they were very annoying.

yesnoticable and in the lkong run, you monitor will last longer, so youll be spending that 3% to get it fixed later

nah, the falure rate is so low, they make profits off you like that.. thats how TVs work too, the percentage of one being screwed up is less than 1%.. Imo, dont do it. My uncle who works at bestbuy told me not to because its just a scam to make an extra bonus for yourself.

Yeah that may be true, but then what happens you get that one monitor with dead pixels? What's $9 anyway?

I defiantly would. I had a monitor that had a dead pixel that was sooooo annoying. I RMAed it and go a new one with the same problem! 3 monitors latter I have one that works...
