ok in direct x there is an option to force a higher mhz for refresh rate
right now my resoultion is set to 1200x1024 32 60mhz
Does that mean that i can force it to run at 1200x1024 32 75mhz?
And if it does is that a good idea (will i see a change )

I wouldn't recommend forcing higher Mhz on your monitor. It will end up burning out. That's why monitors have max Mhz.

its not mhz its hertz and that is your refresh rate.
60 is standard and for CRT's you can go up to abomut 120 hertz at 1280-1024
at 800-600 you can go as high as 200
lcd's usualy always have slower refresh rates
most top out at like 75 hertz

I'm the hawt sauce.

Oops sorry that's what I meant. Just take off the "M" and you got hz.
