just been thinking, whats really in those service packs, that you can't get from foreign programmes, when they say security update, what is the security from, viruses, hackers, malware???because couldn't i just hold out on buying the Operating system for longer, not becuase i wanna screw windows, but because i am short on cash and to buy a monitor and operating sytem isn't feasible, (the screen i am using now is for another computer of mine that is being repaired)

LOL, i am so sorry guys, i know i am running around in circles, but things have been a little crazy around here, well my other computer just got fixed, and now i really have to buy a screen, i was looking at a couple from newegg wondered if you could view your opinion.

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...116-282&DEPA=0 ...this looks pretty good for the price and quality

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...002-044&depa=0 ...havn't had any problems with my current nec

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...002-037&depa=0 ...a little bit more expensive than i was hoping but i thought i would throw it in. i really didn't want to spend over $220 but if it is alot better than the other 2 then i figured why not.

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...198-001&DEPA=1 ...a fairly cheap LCD monitor

thanks again, sorry for the confusion

well good news, my dad saw me looking at monitors and said he would pay for half of the monitor i bought, so i am looking at bigger and better now  , lol. well i have thought about either getting a 19" LCD or a 21" crt. they are both priced around the same, the prob with the crt is the actual size of the monitor, i have a computer desk which holds the printer above the monitor and i don't think the 21" would fit, and i also found 21" crt's have about the same viewable as a 19" lcd, so i guess a good 19" LCD is in order. priced for about $400.00

any recomendations??
lol, i really am going all over the place aren't I.

Should not see any ghosting with that LCD...16ms response (which is perfect for gaming on an LCD)

385 bucks too!

Good dot-pitch, great response time, and good contrast given the price!

I think we may have found you a winner!

LOL, believe it or not i was looking at that very same monitor, there was another one i was looking at, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...161-010&depa=1 for the same price, and seems to have decent reviews
one more thing ---> contrast ratio, i am guessing the bigger the ratio the better??
but on a different note, if you were going to spend that much money on a monitor what would you do?
