Hi, i know i have been going at this for over a week now, but i am determined to buy a good LCD. here is a list of the ones in my price range
i was hoping someone could give me a go ahead, ensuring i get the best bang for my buck.

i have compiled a small list of the monitors i have been looking at.

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...198-001&depa=1 NU QL-711V 17" LCD Monitor

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...005-028&depa=1 LG Electronics L1710BK 17"

http://us.lge.com/Product/proddetail.do newegg has it priced for $ 324 LG Electronics L1710BK 17" this seems to have the most features, but no1 has written a review about it, so i figured i might as well research it more.

the next one is the only decent 19" i could find with a 16ms response time. does't seem to have very many funtions

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...009-022&depa=1 ACER AL1912b 19" Black

thanks again guys and gals

I would recomend a 15inch LCD, Just because of its resolution "1024x768". A 17in is like "1280x1024". Your 9600se wouldnt do very well on a 1280x1024 resolution. well, except cs. if you have a 17inch lcd and you change the resolution to 1024x768, it wouldnt look very good as the 1280x769 resolution.

I understand what you are saying, but monitors are generally alot more expensive than vid cards. and the price of vid cards always drop, and the LG supports 1024 x 768, and a 15 inch is just 2 small, if thats the case then would have gone with a 19" crt. i do appreciate your help thou. its either going to be one of 2 LG's http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...005-028&depa=1 or the http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...005-026&depa=1

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...009-022&depa=1 this is the 19" acer

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...014-063&depa=1 this is a 19 benq that i found with dvi priced for just over 400 bucks. If there are any more ideas, i am open. thanks alot. (17" i am looking +/- 300) (19" under 400)
