Hi There,

I have a problem with some networking and I was hoping you nice fellows could lend me a hand. I'm currently running a computer with Windows 8.1 that has a bunch of shared folders on it. I'm able to access those files from all of my computers that have Windows 8.1 and 7 installed on it. However, on my Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10, I'm having difficulty accessing the computer on the network. Before I upgraded to Windows 10, I was able to access the computer on my network, however after upgrading to 10, it no longer works. I can see the computer, but it keeps asking for a username and password, which it doesn't do on all my other computers. I have disabled password protected sharing on the computer that has the shared folders.

Anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Thanks in advance,

Ian.

NVM, I have solved the problem by creating a homegroup and joining it on both PCs. Weird thing is I only had to do this on the Win 10 Surface Pro 3, it still works fine on the other computers without joining the homegroup.
