Change or mask IP address to view forum ?

I got banned on a form for a 'no tolerance of' reason, and now I can't even read old threads. I used Tor browser in the past, but that seems OTT. Can I choose my own IP address or does the ISP set that ? Can I "mask" it ?? I don't even need to re-join the forum, but I want to read the threads, since it's educational.

I don't know much computer science

You ISP will set your IP.
You can try using a VPN or look into using a proxy.

Many VPNs have free trials. If there are not too many threads to read, you can also use a paid VPN with free trial. I recommend SkyVPN. It has free trial and offers free rewarded traffic daily. You can also get large amount of free traffic by doing simple tasks.

Proton (which is Swiss) has a trial VPN that eventually turns into a free one if you do not subscribe. The free version is limited to servers in the US, japan and a couple of European countries.

Free isn't good, and good isn't free.

I second ProtonVPN - It's one of the best free VPN's so long as you don't mind that it can't be used for P2P sharing.
