My rig is in my sig and I'm having a lot of trouble trying to overclock my 2500k. I've gone through the multiple guides on this site and nothing has worked for me. Whenever I try to change my multiplier when I restart it'll just change back to 33 but keep all of the other settings. I've put the cpu voltage all the way up to 1.4 and the multiplier won't budge. I've even tried using oc genie 2 that comes with my mobo but it'll do the same thing by switching the multiplier to 33 and keeping all other settings. Any help is appreciated.

No, just using the bios version it came with but I thought I'd at least be able to do something.

When you save changes and exit, if you go straight back into the bios, is the multi where you saved or reset?

When I save and restart it's already reset.

Like flip said, update your bios first. You probably know already, but dont do it from windows. Do it from the bios from a flash drive.

Or a least check MSI's website to see if they're latest version is what you're running. I'd uninstall the MSI overclock software to simplify things. It should work plain and simple from the bios.

You didn't get a 2500k, did you?

Not sure what you mean with the different k symbol but I'll update my bios and hopefully that'll work.

I was crossing the k out, implying that you got a non-k 2500. Did it say 2500k on the heat spreader?

It was half a joke, odds of that are slim.

Bios. If all else fails as it appears you need bios update.
