Today I delidded an 8350K

And it was fun.

Before Delid:
5.1GHz @ 1.4V prime 1344 in place avg core temp 76.25°C
5.2GHz @ 1.44V cinebench run avg 72°C score 830
5.3GHz no boot

After Delid:
5.1GHz @ 1.4V prime 1344 in place avg core temp 56.25°C
5.3GHz @ 1.47V cinebench avg 60.5°C score 869

So 5.2GHz was iffy before (it would fail prime 1344 instantly no matter what voltage), after its totally solid bench stable. Exactly 20°C avg core temp drop in prime 1344 ffts and 5.3GHz is bootable AND benchable now

These 8350K's are a deal I think. This was just practice to delid my self binned 8086K. And it was fun.

After testing I sealed it backup. Just bought some RTV glue and put 4 dots. Worked great.
