asus maximus iv gene-z/gen3

Hey just got this motherboard got a i7 2600k so far I got a stable offset overclock but temps seem a bit high. What settings should I have, I noticed there's all these Digi control setting that I don't recall seeing on previous motherboards with overclocking that I've used. Can someone help me with all the settings that I should have, since I can't choose extreme should it be standard, optimised, power level %, lots of options.

Also, does offset overclock affect fps? Like if I use a set voltage then the cores don't drop frequency so low but with offset they do, so does that affect gaming, is it better off with setting a voltage ?

Ps if not, preferably I want to do an offset overclock so thats the guide I'm asking for, let me know what you think!
