If I replace my GPU to RX580 8GB, will that bottleneck my CPU? I mean, I know it's kinda hard to tell but, according to those google "bottleneck calculators" (i don't know how accurate they are) it says that they are basically perfect match ( 2.46% bottleneck on CPU or GPU ) according to that website.
Windows feeds all the utilization time to all the utilities.

From my experience if the game is using 80% utilization and you overclock it still uses 80% utilization due to the video card.

Alright, I wanted to upgrade RAM to GSKILL RipJaws V 3000MHz CL15 2x8gb, but then, that will wait... I'm gonna get rx580 8gb and see what happens. I'll see if I can take 1060 9GB from a friend a test it out.. just to see if CPU will actually bottleneck. I mean, so far, I didn't had CPU bottleneck but that's due to my GPU being GTX950, I just expect this CPU to destroy this GPU (in terms of usage) but yeah.. like you said.. 100% cpu doesn't necessarily means it's bottlenecking.. Thank you

The bottleneck would be on the CPU stock running. I would call the bottleneck calculators close. At 2.46% stock CPU bottleneck for rx580 8GB is a match. With overclocking it will gain 2% performance with every 100MHz.

Yes I have upgraded video card with 100% CPU utilization and did just fine with a faster video card that increases FPS and the same utilization.

Does you RTX2070 causes bottleneck on your i5 8th gen? How would you compare you CPU to mine? 2 more c/t?

Running stock the BFV 83 FPS
I did a test with 2 cores disabled out of 6 at 5.0GHz running BFV and the 83 FPS were the same.
I did a test with 6 cores at 2.5GHz running BFV 83 FPS were the same.
I did a test with 2 cores disabled out of 6 at 2.5GHz running BFV 75 FPS lowered by 8 FPS.

Did you want me to do more testing?

You know you just said that >every< redaction out there lies about benchmarks results? Also, you just stated that there is literally no point in taking cpu better than cheapest i3.

Make proper measurements.

The benchmarks out in the net are testing CPUs with $1500.00 RTX 2080Ti, I have a RTX 2070.

The 83 FPS came out correctly for the i3 8350k link: https://www.techspot.com/review/1754...iplayer-bench/

At 1080p there is 6% relative gaming performance improvement from a i3 8350k 4 core, 4.0GHz to i5 8600k. 6 core, 4.1GHz with GTX 1080Ti. Link: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/..._9700K/13.html

A 4 core cpu is going to see 100% usage on modern games that are optimized. I was getting 100% cpu usage on BF1 with hyper threading disabled on my 9900k (was streaming to twitch also).
It only is a problem if you are getting low fps or stuttering.

Hey,

Sorry guys, I was out of town, thank you for all your responses. Yeah I get that 4c/4t is kinda "obsolete" but many many new games are 4c/4t optimized.. so it will last for another year or two I guess before I upgrade to i7-6700k or 7700k... got a great chip here, shame to sell it and upgrade if games are gonna run just fine.. I was little skeptical about near 100% CPU usage as I said.. but I found
where it showed me that it's actually like that for everyone have 4c/4t.. before I had 4c/8t and my cpu usage was in most cases 40-60%, but that was due to Windows showing me results. With 8t, game utilizes only 4t, and it's showing me for example 50% flat usage.. that means that 4t are 100% utilized and other 4t are sitting idle... and I was like "okay, hm, i have room for more, so just upgrade GPU and good to go" , but that was not the case, since 4t are fully utilized I would be getting CPU bottleneck. Correct me if I understood wrongly
Also I found another video, where guy was testing 1x16GB or 2x8GB, now, of course dual channel is better A LOT, but what surprised is that CPU usage on SC was 62%, and on DC it was 54% (saying random numbers but you get the idea) Here is
to that video.
Luckily my MB supports 6th and 7th gen of i3, i5, i7, so there is a room for upgrade.
